Braddan Commissioners are hosting a Wellbeing Day for Manx Care staff on Monday 12th May at their fantastic community centre, The Roundhouse.

The aim is to offer hard working staff an opportunity to relax and try new activities that may assist with their mental and physical wellbeing, ahead of another frenetic TT week, where many frontline staff work long hours. You may find some Braddan staff joining in for staff wellbeing purposes.

The varied sessions start at 8am and run throughout the day and include:

  • Breathwork and cold water therapy, with Ian Kirk from Inner Alchemy followed by a session in the mobile sauna
  • Cold water dip & sauna
  • Meditation with Mike Kewley
  • Soundology with Amy Howse
  • Yoga with Esther Jones
  • Pilates with Claire Kinrade
  • Playground Games with Active Souls
  • Have a go at pickleball
  • Manx Academies of Arms, Armour & Defensive Arts
  • Bushcraft

In addition, to the above, Businesses are at The Roundhouse have generously provided some great special offers on the day including:

  • A special meal deal from Caffee Roundhouse ‘Pasta and Salad Buffet with complimentary tea for £11’
  • 20% discount from Aalid Feie Beauty Studio, with Bond Jewellery Co in salon
  • Free soft play sessions for Manx Care families

There will also be an opportunity to look around JS Lifestyle’s gym on the day.

How to Book

All of the above activities are available to Manx Care Staff, but they must be booked in advance via The Roundhouse website:

Book a session then select Events & choose the date & session.

Please bring your Manx Care Staff ID Badge for admission.

The Wellbeing Day is fully sponsored by the Session Facilitators who have donated their time for free or at reduced rates and Braddan Commissioners have provided the spaces free of charge.

Why do this?

In the run up to TT it gives our valuable health care staff the chance to unwind ahead of the period where they are most likely going to suffer from burnout.

This also gives the Commissioners the chance to showcase The Roundhouse as a prime spot for wellbeing centres for future events for corporates or other entities.
